Arcade buttons on djtech imix

I'm wondering if someone here has arcade buttons modded on their imix/imix reloaded?

I unscrewed the device earlier today. The vci has two separate circuit boards for the four buttons, the imix however dont. The whole device is on one big circuit board.

So is it still possible? I'm guessing no because there is no more room under the panel, the big circuit board takes up everything. All tough there is like 3 cm on the height left, but I guess that wont help.

Won't fit there buddy. The way I see it, they're atleast the size of the cue/play buttons. There of those side by side would take up too much space.

Hey guys,

I know this is an old post. Well I opened up the controller today and found that there is plenty of space there. Unfortunately, the PCB is one solid block. It isn't modular like the VCI. The buttons are the same as the VCI (except cheaper switches are used... mine are faulty already). So I'm going to go on a small project to get new switches and resolder all the buttons again with proper switches.

I'm also probably going to extend out the controller with a small electronics enclosure. I don't use the kill buttons at all, so I'm going to take those inputs and wire it out to the second enclosure that will be bolted to this controller and put arcade buttons in. That should give me 6 arcade buttons. Or maybe I can do the same with the scratch button as well... hmm... can any of you guys believe of other useless buttons on the controller that I might be able to use for cues?

I must also say, I loooove flick switches as modifiers. I have a denon hs5500 and i love using the flick switch to switch to browse mode. Such a satisfying feeling.. haha. Maybe believeing of replacing a button with one of these flick switches as well... decisions decisions... do I want 5 arcade buttons and a flick switch? Or 6 arecade buttons? 3 arcade buttons for each deck, a dedicated freeze button and a flick switch?

I'll post up a picture of the PCB tomorrow (worst design I've ever seen by the way).

The only thing I can tell is that I damaged my Reloop Digital Jockey IE2. I opened up the case, put the Arcade buttons in. I had to get rid of some part of the board. I do know a lot about engineering but I believe the main controller is damaged. The voltage outputs to the LED's are tooo low so they won't blink anymore.

So, please be carefull!!!

The SANWA OBSF-24 are allready the lowest profile buttons I have found, most others are about 60 mm deep!

Whoops didnt notice that :P But as I said, arcade buttons, around 20 mm in diameter and as low profile as possible.

Product size: 100mm Diameter x 50mm Height

Does anyone know if I could find arcade buttons that are even shorter in height?
