When i use the gater effect on traktor pro it lowers the sound slightly. Is this normal? How can i stop it?

it does make your effected channel a tad quieter, but nothing to freak about on a club system (as stated above, it's loud enuff so you don't notice). you can pinpoint it if you're really isolating the effected track and A<>B'ing it, but i believe the difference is maybe -1db. a proper solution is to run your mix through a maximizer/limiter to always keep your levels in check, some clubs and venues have em between the master mix and amps to protect their speakers

I found this to be normal, especially when going from dry to wet while the gater is active; however I've also found that on any loud system, it doesn't really make that much of a shockingly noticeable difference. (I use the gater on chained effects, not advanced.)
