My local newspaper printed this article today about modding a gameboy to make 8bit music. I've searched around online on how to do this but no luck. I have 3 old gameboys, and LOVE the 8bit sound and want to give this a shot. Has anyone heard of this or know how to do it

A copy of LSDJ and definitely a prosound mod (not required but HIGHLY recommended and SUPER easy to do. It bypasses the gameboy headphone amp and gives a nice signal for your mixer/amp)

But if it was me again I would dye the case and put in a backlight (fairly easy to do). Have fun!

No prob. Now if somebody could fabricate a gameboy into a midi controller and combine it with an arduino boy (basically midi IN/OUT for your gameboy) That would sweet!

Thanks for the post brother, I was getting worried that with 50+ views and no posts, that I wouldn't get an answer, but your post says everything I need. Thanks again, and it goes to show how much of a weath of knowledge this community has.
