Huge Dicer problem, please help
Huge Dicer problem, please help Posted on: 01.04.2011 by Dede Strelka Hey guys.My Dicers have developed a problem, the one plugged into the USB works fine, midi and leds work. However the secondary one, the one plugged in with the link cable doesn't light up or respond. I have tried a different 3.5mm stereo cable but that didn't solve the problem. I have tried them in both a PC and a Mac, but they don't work in either. Here is the story; I was at a gig, Mac plugged in, Dicers plugged in all working fine with Traktor running. I was on last so I put my Mac to sleep with everything plugged in. When I woke it 2 mins before my set there was a "USB over current notice" on my screen saying my USB device had to be shut down. This was of course the dicers, so the next day I tried them again with the same notice. No lights on either of them, about a week later I tried them again and the notice no longer came up, however only one works as mentioned above. The only conclusion I can make is that something happened when the Mac went to sleep or woke. This is very frustrating and I feel I have a poorly built product with an excellent design and huge potential sat gathering dust. If anyone else has come across this, please let me know how you fixed it | |

It's such a shame this is happening, novation has took a great idea and mass produced it as cheap as possible. I would rather the tech tools team had made it and branded it themselves using quality materials, charging a little more. |

Adolf Hit 01.04.2011 | This is popping up more and more. I fixed mine by replacing a part, however I would not recommend this to people without a reasonable level of electronics experience... though I guess they are broken all ready... |
Harley Hendzel 01.04.2011 | unplug all connections to your usb ports. i had a problem like this last evening with my midifighter while testing out the expansion ports. i realized i needed a resistor on my button to the digital input. anyway, i unplugged my usb hub which the midifighter was connected to and plugged it back in. |
