korg nanokontrol mod help

hey guys!

i need some help with my nanokontrol: i took off the original components from the pcb and replaced the faders by 100mm alps fader (also 10k like the 60mm originals). but now the fader is reacting different, it gives 100% after moving the fader only about one third... is there something wrong? a longer fader should give the same values, or??

best

Plus they have a free program to download where you can design your faceplate, and it'll give you the price.
Awesome! I will post a copy of my faceplate design when I get it done, so you can have an idea what I'm working on DevilDare

How have you wired your buttons? I'd like to see if it's better or worse than mine.

Right now I'm just shuffling around cut out circles and slider/knob caps to decide where I'm going to put everything. Can't afford to have my faceplate cut twice.

That being said, does anyone know of a cheap place online to have aluminum or acrylic sheet cut?

Ahhh, shame.

Really interested on the layout you got with the gamepad and kontrol combined. Sounds interesting.

I'm balls deep in modding my nanokontroll and learned the hard way to double check that i was ordering the linear pots.

I love the nanokontrol for the modding possibilities... The original layout is kind of useless for Traktor work, but a nanokontrol + gamepad + usb hub = a beautiful controlller (if you're looking for a little more in buttons/pots in your mod I would definitely recommend the gamepad+nanokontrol combo)

Sounds like you got audio taper pots. All midi controllers use Linear taper.
