numark mixtrack pro problems Posted on: 16.05.2011 by Karl Sprague hey guy's... just recently brought a numark mixtrack pro with traktor Le and everything is sorta working... Ive installed asio4all just as the Manuel said and yet when in traktor in the audio preferences, i set the audio device to asio4all in in the asio4all option's i set everything on ( realtek and usb midi device) ( i have a midi piano usb and even unplugged it still remains in the Asio options) and yet still no sound comes out of the back jack's of the mixtrack or no noise out of the front headphone jack.... PLEASE HELP ( RUNNING: windows XP) | |

Rashida Stieb 16.05.2011 | if theres no mixtrack pro in that aiso4all box then theres a hw prob. |
Tatum Ansaldo 16.05.2011 | is there an asio4mixtrackpro or something? I'm not asio expert, being a mac user. |
Shonda Soulier 16.05.2011 | it sounds like the driver never loaded or some part of the installation was skipped. ASIO4ALL is just part of the sound output, but the Mixtrack's audio source needs to be recognized before it can be routed. if there's no driver for it, it won't show up. |
Karl Sprague 16.05.2011 | yeh i know ive gone over this 100 times myself..... it just gets so aggravating that its not working |
Tatum Ansaldo 16.05.2011 | So you select it as your audio device, route the audio to its outputs and you get nothing? Just to make sure you understand, audio device is the soundcard traktor is using. So you need to select the mixtrack in there, then adjust your output routings and make sure you're in internal mode. Asio4all is its own sound device. |
Karl Sprague 16.05.2011 | yes even when i direct sound to the mixtrack in the out put settings nothing comes out. thats the only place where i can find the mixtrack audio prefrences > audio device |
Tatum Ansaldo 16.05.2011 | have you tried using the mixtrack soundcard by itself without asio4all to see if it works properly? |
Karl Sprague 16.05.2011 | and also in asio theres no mixtrack... only my speakers and my piano |
Karl Sprague 16.05.2011 | yes im positive..... the piano has a built in sound card and also is found in other programs on my computer ( mixtrack 5 and 3) |
Rashida Stieb 16.05.2011 | ok, here we go. you have to use AISO4ALL and this should be your setup (check attatchement) you have to put your master outs onto the output 2 on your controller, then it will work perfectly, your hedphones will be monitor and your out will be master. hope that helped. if its not giving you the choices, then change to a different audio device, go back to output settings and change all of them to none, go back and change audio device to aiso 4all then go back to the ourput routing then do what is in the picture. |
Tatum Ansaldo 16.05.2011 | Are you sure that's your midi keyboard? It has a built in audio card? Cos the device you're looking for (the mixtrack) only has 4 outs and is probably called usb audio device... |
Karl Sprague 16.05.2011 | well ( i cant up load a photo) i have tried the speakers as the out put... and also the selections are reltek 0 to 9 and usb audio device 0 to 4 ( but this is for my midi piano) |
Tatum Ansaldo 16.05.2011 | Ok well as I said, take a screenshot of your output routing window with one of the drop down menus open so I can see the options. Have you tried just using the mixtrack as the only sound device and plugging your speakers into the RCA on the back? |
Karl Sprague 16.05.2011 | ohh sorry about that.... umm well i cant really select my mixtrack pro... because the only selection is for realtek ( computer's speakers)... |
Tatum Ansaldo 16.05.2011 | when i say monitor and monitor output, I mean headphones. In output routing in Traktor preferences, Headphone output is called monitor out. |
Karl Sprague 16.05.2011 | well um i dont have monitors... ive hooked up an RCA cable to the aux of my soundsystem... im not worried about that... its just that i want to get a preview my mix through my headphones from the output of the mixtrack pro |
Tatum Ansaldo 16.05.2011 | Have you got audio going to the monitor? I mean, do you have the monitor cue for a playing track deck lit up, the monitor volume up and the monitor mix set to 0%? If it's not that, it's probably just the wrong outputs being selected for the monitor. I might be able to help more if you upload a screenshot of the output routing window, also showing the list of all available outputs. |
Karl Sprague 16.05.2011 | yes and they all point to asio.... my speakers are called realtek on my computer and there turned on so i am getting sound but the sound is not going through the mixtrack into my headphones |
Tatum Ansaldo 16.05.2011 | have you assigned your outputs in output routing prefs? |
