what am i doing wrong? Posted on: 19.05.2011 by Alejandrina Flemmer so i am trying to make a simple controller for a sample deck 1 trigger for each bank and a shift button for the deck to clear them. 5 buttons total.im using the pcb board from an old keyboard. ive attached black wiring as my ground bridging from button to button back to on the pcb board where there is a 'G' im assuming for ground. then i planned on attaching blue wire from the button to the pcb board to complete the connections, but this doesnt seem to be working. i did one as a test and there is no signal. i didnt map out the routing of the keyboard (as in to say what specific key is inputted where) because i dont care what key i input as, as long as there is some input signal. this is also my first time soldering, so is it a bad connection? any help would be appreciated. lastly, i got some buttons from the djtt store to make a main controller (this one is just practice mostly). the two metal outings are ground and signal, as opposed to the three on my other buttons, yes? see the pics: http://imgur.com/a/96IwR#ngnvK | |
