Combining Reloops DJ2 Interface + midi fighter
Combining Reloops DJ2 Interface + midi fighter Posted on: 26.06.2011 by Fransisca Schriever hey DJ, Controllerist, and Tech Guru, I wanna ask you some questions..I have a Reloops DJ2 Interface edition right now as my midi controller, and believeing about buying a midifighter and combine it with my reloops (I'm using Traktor Pro 2).. so, how do I combine my reloops and midifighter? because both of them are midi controller and cannot be used at the same time.. so, do you have a solution how to combine it? like using reloops only like mixer and midi fighter for setting cue and doing cue juggling..is that possible? thank you..greeting from Germany | |

Tatum Ansaldo 27.06.2011 | Dude, I'm pretty sure you can handle it on your own now. The controllers work exactly as they're mapped, it makes absolutely no difference how many you have plugged in as long as they have their i/o ports correctly selected. The reloop will work as it always has, the MF will work however the mapping you use intended. |
Fransisca Schriever 26.06.2011 | for example I use the standard mapping for reloops, and use the midi fighter mapping for juggling mode like ean golden use..how do I assign the controller? |
Tatum Ansaldo 26.06.2011 | depends what mapping you use. |
Fransisca Schriever 26.06.2011 | and both reloops and midi fighter can now control deck A and B? or reloops for deck A only and midifighter for deck B only? |
Tatum Ansaldo 26.06.2011 | assign them to the relevant controller reloop for reloop i/o, mf for mf i/o. |
Fransisca Schriever 26.06.2011 | wow! thanks a lot mate! after that, what should I assign in device, in-port, and out-port in the controller manager? do I have to assign all in reloops or all in midi fighter? |
Tatum Ansaldo 26.06.2011 | nope. |
Fransisca Schriever 26.06.2011 | so I just need to import the midi fighter tsi with a BIG import button and then adding the reloop mapping? do I need to do some custom mapping again to make it works properly?? |
Tatum Ansaldo 26.06.2011 | If the Reloop mapping is already installed, you'll want to export it by loading it in controller manager (in traktor prefs), clicking edit > export then saving it somewhere. Then you need to us the big import button (see my sig) to import the controller mapping and effects settings from the MF tsi file (it helps to do it at least twice to make sure all the effects are loaded properly). After that, click add > import and select the reloop mapping. |
Fransisca Schriever 26.06.2011 | could you explain me a little bit more? because I such a newcomer in DJ world for example, this is the case..assume that I already have a midifighter..so I just need to import the mapping of midi fighter to Traktor or I have to make the custom mapping for both midi fighter and reloops? |
Tatum Ansaldo 26.06.2011 | of course you can use multiple midi controllers at the same time, you just need to import the mappings correctly and set the in/out ports correctly. |
