Akai LPD8 / LPK / MPK Mini - USB/driver problem
Akai LPD8 / LPK / MPK Mini - USB/driver problem Posted on: 24.05.2011 by Arcelia Siebeneck I'm not sure what's happened but since I got 2 x LPD8's and plugged them into my Windows XP laptop, all of my mini Akai devices have stopped working properly.According to the manual, the LPD8 and MPK Mini are both class compliant and don't need a driver. When you plug them in via USB, they appear as "USB Audio Device" which apparently is normal: Mine clearly appears as a USB Audio device: The trouble is that they no longer appear as midi devices in Traktor, MidiOX or the Akai patch editing program. Various community s have suggested that plugging the Akai's into different USB ports causes the driver to get reinstalled and this fixes the problem but I haven't had any luck. Other community s have suggested that if you disable other USB devices, the Akai's start working: again, no luck with that either Has anyone else had this problem?
