fast track pro II for DJing?

Anybody have any criticisms of the fast track pro line? I want something I can still record vocals with at home, but use as an audio interface at gigs and this appears to be a good cross section of my needs.

Any better ideas or crits?

This is where I can't help you anymore. I don't have an older Dell laptop so I have no idea what to tell you.

Honestly, you said you wanted something you can record vocals with and now you seem to not care so much about that. If you don't want mic inputs, just get the A2DJ.

While this is true he did say he wanted to record vocals.

Personally I'd get the old audio kontrol 1

I set it to about 2ms on my MBP but it can go lower. It's higher on my PC. I believe around 15-20.

The pre's are great. I mean, the mix will require some EQ'ing but the pre's have some nice bass to them, good body. I recommend it. Especially because I got it for about $130 on sale at G-Mart (Guitar Center).

I had one for a few days. It would drop sound in the middle of gigs. I probably could have returned it for a new one, but I got something else.

I got the Focusrite Sapphire 6 USB and I love it. It's a little bulky, but the case is rock solid. The sound is good enough for a big club too.

The mic preamps are outstanding as well.

I have fast track ultra, the best investment I have ever made for this interface!

Great in the club, the sound is superb! And I also use it in my studio to record vocals and anything else i want!

Its a bit pricey I believe I bought mine a little over $400, but its very stable, not once did I have any problems!

Heres a pic!

Your criteria was that you wanted something to record vocals so that's why I chimed in about the Saffire... If that's not important and you want to spend less money, get the A2DJ.

I have one of those too. The latency on the MBP is 1ms. Sounds great.

Oh, I should point out that it's USB 1.1 not 2.0.
