Regine Hulme 05.07.2011 | As a sound card I believe they perform almost equal with no edge for some. But as a mixer and controller the xone is outstanding and the sound quality and headroom in analog mode is top notch |
Kiyoko Wellisch 05.07.2011 | Dude you really don't have to worry about audio quality with products made by allen and heath. |

Jerold Nesselrode 05.07.2011 | I have a 4D (although no NI card to reference to). The sound quality for DJing purposes should not be a problem at all, it is a highly capable audio interface. Most of the time I am using 8 analog out, 2 in, along with midi of course over usb; and my latency set to 256 (at 44.1KHz), and I could probably go down to 192, with 4 decks, keylock, loops, and all effects available to utilize on (stress test) and just dick around without drop outs. It is possible to send a strong enough signal so it would leave the mixer portion to spike on the red even if you to try attenuate it with the gain knob (the mixer's headroom is huge though, so it's not dangerous in short term, but rather I point this out to indicate the punch the sound card is able to deliver). |
