vestax vci 100 with virtual dj..does it work?
Posted on: 06.07.2011 by Leida Januario
Hi folks,
New to the site, but recommended here by a friend.

I have limited funds, so am awaiting an old vestax vci 100 controller to come through.

I'm "extremely" non technical, so was wondering if the vestax works with virtual dj straight of, or if something has to be done to make it work..........any help /suggestions, greatly appreciated.

Search for VDJ VCI100.

Also there is a built in one too....

I am sure some VDJ heads will pop up and offer you a map.

Thats how the software and controller connect....via the midi map.

HEY ...Thanks for this....but already I'm lost as to what a "map " actually is?
.....yikes!

welcome! the map acts between the software and controller and translates what you do on the controller into actions in the software.

oooh..should also add a bit about myself out of politeness I guess :-)

I live in Dorset in England (UK).

43 years old, & run a dance evening for charity..spread over three floors, called Vanilla Penguin .

The evening covers different genres of (underground) dance on each floor.

Ranging from DnB , Psy Trance , Techno, hard trance.

We have also had live acoustic performnces in the chillout room from Hawkwinds ex lead guitarist Huw L.L amongst others.

All the djs play for free, & every single penny of profit goes to charity .....it's good to put something back!!

Anyway..thanks for having me :-)
