MixTrack Pro Problem
MixTrack Pro Problem Posted on: 11.05.2011 by Marjorie Coccio Hey DJTT folks, I just purchased a new Mixtrack Pro from Amazon.com. The unit arrived today and I was over the moon with excitement. That is until I got it all hooked up and the right side jog wheel started to be temperamental with TP2. When I load a track into my second deck (B), the jog decides that it wants to either inch forward every-so-slightly, or it decides that it will beatjump by one or two beats. The Mixtrack Pro is almost completely unusable due to this issue. Also, the play/pause button on the right side flashes as though it was being pressed, even when it is not. Once it flashes a few times, the play/pause light goes out and the jog wheel issues return. Anyone have any idea what to do aside from contacting Amazon and/or Numark? | |

Cindi Freiler 12.07.2011 | If you read up you can see that he already shipped it out. |
Nicola Oatts 12.07.2011 | http://www.traktorbible.com/freaks/m...ew.aspx?id=226 download that mapping and see if it works mate? |
Cindi Freiler 12.07.2011 | It's a mapping problem. I've heard people fix it by remapping the controller. |
Chastity Kankel 12.07.2011 | I've got exactly the same problem here with a Mixtrack non pro. Load a track into deck b and it will keep skipping forwards a tiny amount and making a pop sound if the track isn't playing. Also noticed that if I hit the Cue button on the right the track inches forwards and then the button turns off? Backspinning for an extended period of time doesn't work on either deck, it just stops after a while and starts pitch bending instead. I figure it's got to be a hardware issue, which sucks considering my brother bought it to keep him occupied while he's in rehab. Time to return it for him mebelieves. |
Louisa Hemmah 12.05.2011 | I had that happen a few times and jsut re-imported the mapping into traktor and it fixed it. |
Tatum Ansaldo 12.05.2011 | good plan. |
Marjorie Coccio 12.05.2011 | NUMARK technical support didn't have the answers that I was looking for. The technician stated that he thought the issue was with Traktor Pro 2. In the same breath, he also stated that he was using another MTP with TP2 that week and it was working fine. He suggested I could either use Virtual DJ (Fuck that noise. $200 bucks + over 1000 Tracks manually beat gridded and analyzed in TP2), I could return the unit to Amazon and get a refund, or I could send it in to NUMARK for a 4-6 week repair run. I've already boxed it up and am dropping it off at UPS today. I'll get my money back and go buy another working unit at Guitar Center. |
Tatum Ansaldo 12.05.2011 | Get onto numark about it. |
Marjorie Coccio 12.05.2011 | That is a great suggestion. Here's the problem though, the left side jog wheel functions as it's supposed to without changing the mappings of it. It is set exactly the same way. My feeling is that the jog wheel is registering as being moved slightly when it is stationary. Thank you so much for the reply. |
Rashida Stieb 12.05.2011 | maybe its a mapping problem, go to the controller editor in traktor and change the scratch setting to "relative" not direct. maybe that would help. |
