Vci-100 se vs Dn-Sc2000 + mixer

So I'm getting my first controller soon and was debating these 2 setups. The Vci-100se is supported and all but I'm not sure if its out of date and feel like I can customize more if I start out with the dn-sc2000 and a midi mixer. I use traktor and am very good using it with my computer i just need something i can get my hands on. keep in mind i only have $400 to spend. I can get teh vci for $320 but then i have to get a soundcard and the cheapest is 100 bucks. On the other hand the dn-sc2000 is $250 and i'm not sure if I can get a beginner mixer for $150 with built in soundcard and midi. So ya, i'm stuck. I already have an mpd18 which I use for all my effects so that department is not a part of the discussion if that matters lol.

i hadn't seen those before - looks like a pretty cool controller. really depends if you want the all-in-one solution of a vci or vci-type controller or a more modular approach. i'm tempted by one of these sc-2000's now...

edit: i picked up a djtech djm101 midi mixer for 20 quid recently and i'm impressed with it for the price - makes for a good traditional 2 channel dj mixer imho - tho people don't seem to like it here as it doesn't get mentioned often at all. i put a photo of mine here http://www.djranking s.com/community /showthread.php?t=34480

Well I also asked for advice on the SC2000 and I got all positive comments. One person even said he would take Denon SC2000 and a mixer over an S4 any day! I hope to purchase one in the near future.
