Hi there,
Is there any real difference on audio 4 dj and audio 6 dj? Or is it just a new case?

Interesting note on the frequency comparison. Seems like consensus is they're pretty similar but probably stretch for luxury of the A6 / not being concerned that I need to upgrade the hardware and maybe hold off on the Tpro upgrade for a little while.

@Jester: Hopefully will be a good game on Saturday evening !

I have owned both. Would be more than happy to keep using the A4 but tbh the A6 is just amazing!

There was a thread a while ago that actually used graphs (science!) to compare the performance of the two cards. However, they basically concluded that at certain frequencies, one device is better than the other. Audio 6 won it out, but it doesn't really make a significant difference to the ears.

That's what I am believeing, thought the price difference was significant though just hunted a bit and found a Scratch Duo 2 pack for 330+44P/H so maybe can extend a little bit further as the difference might only end up about 150ish.

Thanks for confirming though that in terms of straight up quality they're same / similar

i would look for a 2nd hand audio 4 and call it a day.

I know this thread has been dead for a little while but looking at an audio 4 with traktor scratch duo for around 200 (and then I'll get the $79 upgrade). Apart from the third channel is there much difference in performance? - driver stability and sound quality or essentially for 2 channels is A4 just as good?

I'd happily pay that for a second audio 4

For $150 its hard to recommend against that Audio 4...

Do you really really want that third input/output?

I might be getting a second hand audio 4 for $150(aus) soon. Is it worth it cause my sound card just to multiple shits. Or should I save more for the audio 6.

  1. Direct audio through
  2. Optional power supply
  3. Little cable hook thing (neat!)
  4. Extra pair of inputs + outputs (neat!)
  5. Few extra status LEDs
  6. Improved audio quality (apparently)

Well, there is the two extra ins/outs...

Come on man.

Audio 4 = 2 in, 2 out.

Audio 6 = 3 in, 3 out.

Math is power.
