Would it be a fair trade?

Hi guys, just sorta screwing around here.

My buddy asked me if it was fair to trade two cdj400's and a djm400 for a high end controller like an s4 or ns6..

Would you believe that would fly or not so much?

EDIT: To clarify, this, The person who asked me has an NS6 and wants to trade away for cdj's..

depends which way the trade is i guess 2nd hand the cdj's and mixer are probably worth about the same as a brand new S4...

I don't get it, is the question 'are these of equal value' or 'would I better off with a controller'?

Money wise, the CDJs are probably worth more than those controllers so you might be better selling.

depends. do you already use them with timecode? and what software?

If your more of a scratcher then I suggest using serato and the NS6 if you are really considering this trade. If you are a serious scratcher, and you still want to use traktor, I wouldn't do the trade because the NS6's jogs are poor when used in traktor. And the s4 is one of the worst controller's for scratching. If scratching isn't something you want to do too much and you want to really use effects and cue points effectively in traktor then trade for the s4. But your best thing if your a traktor scratch user is stick with what you got.
