HELP! Typhoon vs Traktor pro 2?
Posted on: 28.09.2011 by Asha Rugar
Hey, i have a Typhoon on a pc which worked fine with traktor LE, but i got traktor pro 2 and loaded the tsi file and everything, with two decks and two sample decks and now the headphone mix wont work - like ill just hear the tracks that are playing even when the headphone buttons arent on, ive tried playing with the outputs and everything still no go, do i NEED an external soundcard as well as the typhoons one for the headphones?

also i dj'd a friends party the other day and the output was average as it didnt go very loud - could that have anything to do with the typhoon or would that just be the sound system? cos even ipods were louder than the typhoon? SO confuzzled any help would be greatly appreaciated thanks

If your using 2.1.1 the mixer head room is set at -9db changing it up should get you a fair bit more volume. You then might have to watch your levels to stop clipping.

I would check preferences/audio .. maybe you sue the same ouputs for monitoring and master ... play around with the settings

I'm probably not answering your question here with a down answer right of the block but I would say that not having a better audio interface is playing a problem in both your problems. I know for a fact that the vestax typhoon doesnt have a strong volume output on the audio interface so I suggest maybe picking up a NI Audio 2 or 4.

Sorry if I couldnt really help you bro!
