Paint It Black!
Paint It Black! I have finished the custom job I did on my Xone DX and I am quite pleased with the results. I also painted my Mackbook Pro (metallic silver) to mattblack to match the DX. Sorry for the poor picture quality. You can check bigger images in my Gallery page. Cheers | |

08.10.2011 | @tekki: you know it! I just cleaned the macbook with acetone and then spray painted it. |
Arletha Heddens 08.10.2011 | Question. How did you do the macbook? I can imagine me doing that, and it going horribly, horribly wrong... Although i have a VAIO with a plastic back and a bunch of stickers - so I wouldn't paint it anyway... But still. |
Random X 08.10.2011 | Hey bro', nice to share it on here as well! |
08.10.2011 | Thanks. Removing all the knobs, faders and insides may seem like a daunting task, but its a bit simpler than you would believe. You can manage to get it all off wit a phillips, trox (size 7 + 8) and wrench (i belive 11). Its just paying attention to where all the attachments are when you are taking it apart. I have come to a greater appriciation of the build quality that A&H have put in it. I also know it now, inside out. I find that reassuring and it makes me more confident with the unit. |
