Saw on scratchworx that Numark is releasing something called the NSP6

This is what is looks like

This is what the Akai-LPD8 looks like

is it just me or is numark literally making the exact same product?

And the name... I bet that took the marketing dept. weeks to come up with "NSP6"
That USB placement (or lack of it) really sucks! The only answer would be a right angled mini-USB connector (if such a thing exists)

But WHY OH WHY have they put the USB connection on the front of the unit?!?
Its exactly the same as the akai - the usb port is on the left of the casing on the akai. Literally all they have done is change the case!

Check out the 4 buttons which let you choose different banks on the LPD8. Those were copied in all details as well - with three of four having LED feedback. But opposed to the LPD8 there's no apparent reason for that on the Numark controller

Everyone keeps saying these are the same unit....don't any of you see the different writing on it?? The printing is in different places too.....

Maybe the LPD8 was such a good product that it just needs a lick of paint to reach a new target market?

Should be nice to have something next to my Twitch so I can control the sample decks.

Looks excellent - I bet it'll be a lot more than an LPD8 though

But the fact you can't use additional MIDI controllers in ITCH makes this one pretty good. . and this isn't exactly new. . .
Vestax did the same with the VCi-300 with that VFX-1?

But, I dunno why this upsets me. . . .it just does. . . .I can't explain it!

They took a totally different angle when designing this

Already familiar with the Akai/Numark relationship so no biggie besides a lazy design department.

Well it doesn't make it any less true, it's just they're stealing from themselves..

perhaps you guys should do a little bit of research before posting stuff like this

Nevermind...numark owns lpd8

it's still dumb, but the thread can be deleted, there's like 5 of these going right now

that's so stupid, guaranteed you're going to have to pay more just so it's "itch compatible". Serato and Numark can suck my nutsack

Seems we post at the same time about the same controller... you must be blind, it doesn't looks like an LPD8 at all
