Alright so haven't done it yet bbut Im going to be post on here the process That I am going to take to turn my burnt out Hercules MK4 dj controller into my production sound card, since that still works. Im just going to try to find a casing that fits it , here it is atm:

odd. i know that my mk2 works fine when the midi part is disconnected as that's how it was when i first got it - thought it was faulty until i pulled it apart and found a wire had come out.

shame you're not getting any sound now, could be more down to bad earthing or something when not connected together i guess.

not sure how it compares to other sound cards but i've always been impressed with the soundcard in my mk2. i'm also half tempted to extract the sound card and put it in a diff case. there's just a couple of leads that join that to the midi controller part on my mk2 so seems an easy job. kind of seems a waste but i really don't use my mk2 any more but would use it as a soundcard more often if it was smaller. there again once the k2 comes out i can't see that ever *not* being plugged in

The picture isnt really recent I have alot more production gear now so there isnt really space , plus its better than just throwing it away

Why waste your time doing that? That's time you could spend being productive and actually doing something!
