Can you control led brightness in nanokotrol 2?

Hi!

I'm believeing about getting a korg nanokontrol v2, but I want to know if you can control the led brigthness via midi cc.

anyone knows?

also, is usb class compilant right?, or do I need any special software to work with it, like automap in novation controllers? (I don't like that)

This is what the manual says:

LED Mode:

Internal: The LED will be lit or unlit according to the button

Yeah it's a bit of a bother. If you download the Kontrol Editor, open up your NanoKONTROL 2 settings, go to the global settings (the box with the "--" in the upper left corner of the NanoKONTROL) and set LED Mode to "External", you should be able to trigger the leds with MIDI out messages (usually the same CC message as the button sends in).

the NanoKONTROL 2 can recieve MIDI messages to trigger leds n such, but I'm not sure about brightness...
