i love the dicers for the simple fact they work so well with my turntablist sets and make doing crazy beet juggles so easy and intuitive... i like a very compact setup and dont use the effects too often but after getting into the controllerist aspect of things i see great possibility for when i do other styles like dubstep or electro hence my desire for a simple midi effects contoller... ideally id like to mimic the layout on scratch lives GUI... so ive mapped out placement for the arcade buttons and knobe (TY djtt for the bits) but its the actual board i need help sourcing and need to know what software id need to drive/map it to scratch live

I would add arcade buttons and lose the dicers altogether to have your controller in one clean setup.
I use the M-Audio Trigger Finger, and I believe there are some akai unit that are similar.....but if you are stoked to embark on a DIY project you should consider what your controller will use as a 'brain.'
Check this out: http://lividinstruments.com/hardware_builder.php <- pretty decent stuff I believe.
