Emely Metz 29.01.2012 | ^nice review on the HDJ500...me too still on the look for a mostly leisure headphone, even better if they lasts at least more than a year since i travel a lot in rigorous environment |
Garth Staroba 29.01.2012 | Hey - I've going through a few brands of cans lately but I have to say, the HDJ 500's are probably my favorite ones. They pack a punch, sound good, and whilst they may not last as long (see below), overall they were my favourite. I'm currently using a pair of HD25's and I'm a bit dissapointed by them. I got the 600ohm versions too. I've tried TMA-1's, but they were great on the lows, but I dance around a bit when playing and so they constantly came off my head! I tried the TMAs and HD25s after I went through 3 pairs of HDJ500s, where the glue in the seal near the padding at the top split and the units fell apart. I suspect though that that might be due to excessive sweat and humidity (I play around Asia at a lot of outdoor events where its stinking hot and very humid). But I'd recommend a pair of HDJ500's to anyone. Good sound and for what you pay, good overall value. |
