Has anyone tried to open up their Kontrol X1?
Has anyone tried to open up their Kontrol X1? Posted on: 19.02.2012 by Gloria Paetow I saw someone do an LED mod on a mixer somewhere in this community
and I was curious as to if I could do something similar with my X1. So I unscrewed all the screws, and took off all the knobs, but I'm too scared to try and pry it open for fear of breaking it. Has anyone else attempted to open their X1? More importantly has anyone succeeded? | |

Tania Somppi 19.02.2012 | Yes http://www.djranking s.com/community /sho...t=14588&page=2 NI X1 TEARDOWN AND MOD pictures by alientek - Photobucket * Insert sarcastic quip about using the search button here * |
Gloria Paetow 19.02.2012 | Well in that case, I believe I'll wait 'till I have more skills and disposable income. That's a shame though a Kontrol X1 with blue and green or purple LEDs would be so sick. |
Tatum Ansaldo 19.02.2012 | And if you want to do an LED mod you'd better be a good solderer, I expect the LEDs are the mini board mounted type. |
Tatum Ansaldo 19.02.2012 | Pretty sure it's glued and you'd definitely void your warranty |
Gloria Paetow 19.02.2012 | Yeah they don't exactly come apart easily, which is what is making me nervous. |
Tatum Ansaldo 19.02.2012 | Never seen anyone do it on here. I wouldn't want to open my own, I know they're pretty tightly packed inside. |
