Traktor FX controller
Traktor FX controller Posted on: 16.03.2012 by Yong Aptekar Hey guys, long time lurker, long time poster looking for some advice. Currently I have my BCD3000 mapped as an FX controller, but I'm going to be selling it, as I want something built stronger. So my question to those that own one is this, why should I buy an X1? I'm not looking for other options right now, its either keep the bcd, or buy the X1. I don't like the plastic buttons on my controller anymore. Thanks guys | |

Yong Aptekar 16.03.2012 | So, I picked one up after work, and have had it for 2 hours, and I have to say, it is the coolest piece of gear I own! My workflow has gotten so much smoother and quicker. Once again, Native Instruments exceeds my expectations. Thanks again for the help guys, I really do appreciate it. To anyone using DVS that does not own an X1, get one! |
Kristofer Krauel 16.03.2012 | Have to agree that it sounds like the x1 would suit your set up perfectly. pots for fx control with buttons and encoders for looping, transport and file browsing!! You'll LOVE it!! |
Yong Aptekar 16.03.2012 | I was really hoping someone would say that. Thanks Jojo |
Leeanna Ayla 16.03.2012 | Then you need the X1 and you can move away from using the keyboard and mouse all together. |
Yong Aptekar 16.03.2012 | Keyboard and mouse for track selection and loading. Bcd is really only FX, with the wheels and faders mapped to fx parameters, as well as eq kills on the lighted buttons. |
Leeanna Ayla 16.03.2012 | What do you use for transport control now? If you're using the 3000 then the X1 is a no brainer as you get all of the transport control and FX default with NHL protocol. |

Yong Aptekar 16.03.2012 | Thanks guys, I'm not looking for other controllers though. I have a line on an x1 for cheap, and just want to know why I should buy it lol. I have a mixer I like, and I have a soundcard, so I don't need something with that already. Let me rephrase my question. Why couldn't you live without your x1? |
Leeanna Ayla 16.03.2012 | The K2 looks to be a very well setup controller for this exactly. |
Jonathan Chiuchiolo 16.03.2012 | get a xone k2 it will be much better and more flexible than the x1, you could use it as an effect controller, a full mixer with transport controller and a sampler all with one mapping and using the latching layers you could use any combination at any time, you couldn't do that with an X1... oh and you get a 4 out (rca/headphone) soundcard built in. |
