APCs - why powered?

APCs - why powered? Posted on: 26.04.2012 by Brock Ricapito why on earth do the APC 40 and APC 20 need external power? it's not as if they have an unheard of quantity of LEDs. do faders required more electricity? what part of the APCs makes them need extra juice?
