NI Traktor F1 & X1
NI Traktor F1 & X1 Posted on: 30.05.2012 by Phil Ponte Hello everyone!I have a question about the recently made F1 NI controller. I have been leaning towards buying it because I have for some time wanted to buy the NI Maschine. I know completely that it's far from those two being the same, for example not being able to use the F1 for production, but what would be a better choice, if the creativity in mixing is what I'm looking for as the most important factor? Also, I'm interested in how the F1 will cope with the X1. The problem is that I am using MacBook Pro which only has 2 USB plug-ins that I use for the mixer and the X1. I have already bought an USB-hub, but I had some power supply problems through the USB-hub for the X1 (it wasn't responding, freezing, etc.). Would you perhaps know of any really powerful hubs with which I could solve this problem? Thank you for all your replays! | |

Phil Ponte 31.05.2012 | Hmmmm yes, all I can say is that I'm not rich, but anyways what would be better on the long run? I will for sometimes still be polishing of the mixing skills, but production is definetly on my list sometime soon. Oh and another thing. Anyone who uses the Machine - Traktor set that I know, has 2 laptops. Now is that only for easier handling, not having to continuously zoom in Maschine and back to Traktor software or is there something else behind it? |
Leeanna Ayla 30.05.2012 | The Maschine comes with software specifically for getting creative in production that can also be used while DJ'ing. The F1 comes with software specifically geared towards getting creative with DJ'ing with a small slant to production. Which one would you rather do? |
Dannielle Dingey 30.05.2012 | You just need a powered USB-hub (= seperate adaptor) and all will be well... |
