A totally different NI vs Rane question
A totally different NI vs Rane question Posted on: 15.06.2012 by Alonzo Lorren At home I'm upgrading my sound system with a hi-fi amplifier (Rega Mira) and a hi-fi set op speakers (Kudos X2), which have nothing to do with DJ-ing, but my Pink Floyd and other vinyls will sound amazing on them. I also want to add a small Home Theatre PC to my home made audio cabinet and then I need an audio interface to play music via the hi-fi set. I could buy a hi-fi audio interface for as much money as I would like, but I figured that I might as well buy one from NI or Rane and get the whole DVS package basically for free. I already own Serato Itch and a Numark NS6, so I'm inclined to choose Traktor, so I learn to use both software's, but most importantly I want to have the audio interface with the best quality audio output. The Traktor A6 has 96 kHz/24 bit resolution and a 9 Hz to 45 kHz output. Rane also offers 96 kHz/24 bit in their SL4, which seems more expensive than the A6 and has much more connectivity than I need. Is there anybody out there that has (or had) both interfaces and put them through a hi-fi audio test? If so which sounds better? NI or Rane? DJ KIO | |
