| Vernon Positano 18.06.2012 | The DJTT controllers aren't in the cheap end of the market. They are built for a niche, and work well for it, but if you want bang for your buck, you are better off looking at the second hand market. |

| Vernon Positano 18.06.2012 | After a while, you will find yourself asking things of your current setup that you just can't do, or at least, do easily. I found that with my now ancient VCI-100 and its effects section. Also, in order to use 4 decks, I needed to implement a layering system to access them, on what is essentially a 2 deck designed controller. Or perhaps you've seen a technique that you want to practise that you can't easily with your current hardware. Research research |

| Lyndsey Stiff 18.06.2012 | There's no set time limit which determines whether a person needs to switch gear or not. The real question is not time, but rather asking yourself if your skills have outgrown your gear or if your gear no longer fits your desired workflow. Which software you would like to use is also only something you can determine. No matter what people suggest and what works for them, only you know what you feel comfortable using and what makes your job easier/more efficient. I would suggest looking for trial versions of different softwares and taking them for a spin.
