Hi, i need an external sound card as my numark DJ IO died recently. The thing is that i have 2 turntables, 2 pioneer cdjs and also a midi controller, i want to buy the NI audio 6 and then buy the timecode vinyls and cds and use traktor scratch... is this possible to do???

Sure is.

As I said above, you have have up to 2 decks of vinyl, the remaining input has no phono preamp so it has to be CD.
You could, however, buy a cheap battery powered phono preamp for 5 quid, that'd probably do the job if you wanted to use 3 turntables

And one more question, as i see that NI is not selling the Audio 8 scratch anymore (with 4 channels wich is what i need) is it possible to output 3 decks with the Audio 6??

I'd probably recommend skipping that and buying it online. A6 Soundcard + Certified upgrade pack costs more than just the A6 bundle alone I believe. May want to double check that though- it'll depend on how much it's going for in store.

You can't buy the A6 without traktor scratch any more, how were you gunna get that?

It'd be a lot more expensive to buy it all separately.

You used to be able to pick up an audio6/10 separately and go down the scratch update path that way (thats what i did) but now they dont sell them separately like popinjay mentions.

Yes, when you buy the Audio 6 you get a Traktor Scratch licence with it, 2 timecode CDs and 2 timecode records. You can use the Audio 6 to control 3 timecode decks at once (2 turntables or CDs and 1 CD)

Your midi controller will continue to work as it did before
