Hey guys,

Just wanted to say my 2 Vioscans are being shipped to me today

Got a power cord and DMX to daisy chain them

What do you guys believe of them or ADJ lights?

Any recommendations on nice light board at a reasonable cost like $150 - $300

Id say euros but most who may reply are not in the euro maybe :L

@dj gullum I have a revo 4, fantastic lights, fills a dance floor easily.

@da3dalus Great, I definitely plan to pick a couple up at some point, need some moving head lights in my setup!

@dj gullum soudns like a pretty sweet setup you have.

Alot of lights lol.

I must say these vio scans are very powerful lights, cover a massive area, and have a great effect

I have 14 diferent ADJ light 5 of thoses are lasers and I totaly love AJD lights
I also have some other LED fx lights and they are nowhere near ADJ
ADJ lasers are not the brightes but in a club of smal hall they are powerfull enough. The Revo 4 if put high enough can cover a realy large aria.
MY ADJ lights
1. AMERICAN DJ Fun Factor LED
1. AMERICAN DJ REVO IV
1. AMERICAN DJ REVO SWEEP
1. AMERICAN DJ DUAL GEM LED (Don't like it so much)
1. AMERICAN DJ DUAL GEM PULSE (Same but has a led strobe that has almost no effect when other lights are on)
1. AMERICAN DJ MICRO GALAXIAN
1. AMERICAN DJ MICRO STAR
1. AMERICAN DJ MICRO 3D
1. AMERICAN DJ ROYAL SKY
1. AMERICAN DJ ATMOSPHERIC RG LED
2. AMERICAN DJ COMSCAN LED
2. AMERICAN DJ MEGA BAR 50 LED RC

aslo have an AMERICAN DJ FOGSTORM 1200HD

I want to replace my 16 LED pars (Stareville) with ADJ flat pars

In my very limited experience with the low end lighting, I have had better luck with ADJ than Chauvet. I use some from both, but had to send back Chauvet lights for defects. It may just be this particular fixture as the new ones don't perform perfectly in every aspect either. Not sure who is better with warranties, but ADJ had a 3 year on the Hypergems I got.

I'm a chauvet fanatic, but those lights looks pretty solid. I honetly agree with sobi, I believe chauvet has a quality advantage over ADJ, but thats just me probably being weird but we use nothing but chauvet. (and we use 8 lights and two lasers)

@robdquick I will let you know what they are like, also you should try musicstore or thomann for chauvet, they might have some.

@sobi Yeah I'm only starting out the last year Djing adn thought id add some ligths for my friends to enjoy They are indeed my first, one of my mates is into DMX (does theatre lighting/pyro in college) was wondering what would be a good light controller to start off with, I got the UC3 with it to start lol.

Also I was wondering which were the better manufacturer of LED lights, would you say chauvet be better build wise and fx wise?

Iv'e found it really hard to find Chauvet lights here in the UK. And when i do find them they're proper professional ones that are way out of my price range! I have a couple of ADJ lights already, and for the price you really can't go wrong with them. If I could find Chauvet lights I'd be all over them though!

Not bad. Good piece of starter kit for lighting. I tend to lean more towards Chauvet products myself, but that's just me believing that they are slightly better than ADJ products. Are these your first lights?

I was just looking into picking up a set of these lights for myself, they look real nice. Please let me know what they are like!
