has anyone ever tried urban ears headphones... they probably are not a viable substitute for my pioneers, but are they any good...

Maybe their high end headphones are better, but the plattans had a severe lack of deep bass, severe lack of top and enhanced mid and mid bass - coming from Sony-v6's (which are actually cheaper) they sounded worse to me than a set of knockoff beats.

For something thats pretty portable, that look good and round the same price the marshall's aren't half bad, depends if portability is an issue of course, if not there is better options.

and this is why i always ask before making mistakes my pioneers are still alive but i should believe about the future i don't know how much duct tape i can still put on haha

Cant comment on their higher range "DJ" headphones, but I tried the "Plattan" and was truly amazed at just how bad they sounded, utter shite sounding, but look nice.

Thousands of other headphones at that price that sound a million times better - even my old $15 Ross headphones had more thump.
