Some Help Please... Need Advise Posted on: 06.08.2012 by Gilda Schreider I posted this once before and many read but no replys...I am hoping some might have some experiance with any of these 3 below so any input would be great... I mix at a location that has great sound issue is I need some monitors and with the monitors I would like them to be versitile... Small venues and what not use at the house or family parties anyway I saw a package deal and wasnt sure what would be better somthing I could use without a sub for now These are my options the package is a pair of speakers and cables... Alto TS115A $699.99 Mackie TH-15A $699.99 Behringer B215D $559.99 I did look into a comparison and the Alto's have the highest wattage, the Behringer have the highest SPL DB of 126frequency responce was all very similar the lows from Mackie was 40hz Alto at 42 and Behringer at 65 I know we can go over numbers all day and the one we wouldnt expect would be the one to sound the best lol... If anyone has any advise please let me know All your input would be great thanks in advance | |

Ciara Cuttill 16.08.2012 | Mackies ... you'll thank yourself later. |
Erica Charvet 16.08.2012 | Any of those speakers will work fine as monitor / house party duty. The Mackies are fine and have been proven to be fairly reliable, but don't expect any of these to perform well at a venue that needs higher volume levels - they all limit very quickly. If you have a few hundred more dollars, look into the RCF Art Series. |
Annis Osbourn 17.08.2012 | + 1 for the mackie's, heard good things about alto though never as good as mackie's. Oh, and no behringer, i mean, seriously. No. |
Marva Cupid 16.08.2012 | My friend has a pair of the mackies, they sound amazing, I get so jelouse when I go to his house and mix. |
Geri Jarra 13.08.2012 | Mackie's |
Sadye Chabert 13.08.2012 | If you can get the Mackie, I'd do so. Mackie is a strong brand, and this one's got more than enough power for your venue. Also, it's got a build-in EQ and more bass than the others, according to the specs. I can't recommend the Behringer, since they're known for not having the best audio quality (especially since it's digitally manipulated), and I haven't at all heard about Alto, but since it's the same price, I'd just skip it as an option. Mackie is my recommendation. |
