Building a Setup
Building a Setup Posted on: 16.08.2012 by Queenie Bushaw Hi all, just a quick query, looking for a spot of advice.I'm just starting to build my DDJ setup, and currently have a Numark Mixtrack Pro, and an M-Audio Ozone MIDI Keyboard, using Traktor. I'm basically a bit miffed as to what to spend my next | |

Evia Nitch 20.08.2012 | Shipping is about $80. I'd be happy to try to bring you in contact with a Dutch seller.... |

It allows you to connect anything digital, have some MIDI clock control on the mixer itself AND still leaves room for external hardware effects processors + timecode vinyls too. I have a flight case for it. It's cheap and good quality. Here you can buy them second hand for about €900. You can sell your mixtrack pro and maybe even your keyboard... |

Geri Jarra 16.08.2012 | Yea save up to get a nice 4 ch mixer would be a good bet for you. It seems you want a modular setup. Once you have the mixer its easy to switch modular controllers in and out depending on your style |
Annis Osbourn 17.08.2012 | Think about how many decks you would like to mix on, if you would like to be able to play cds/vinyl, or even use timecode some day. Remember : a good mixer is never a bad buy, a good 4 channel mixer gives you a lot of flexibility and room for more creativity, might cost a little more than your budget tho.. Buying a maschine (or basically any no-mixer controller) should be replacing your keyboard i believe? Are you happy with the way you mix right now? (Using internal mixing with your mixtrack?) |
