Mixer question
Mixer question Posted on: 12.10.2012 by Sherry Nyblom Since I may be forced to change mixers, I need help:Need quality 3/4 channel mixer with great Eq section and faders. Don't need fx, midi nor audio interface included, for as little cash as possible. I went down the Denon DN-X1100 road (500 Euros), but after few months, bass knobs started making noise. So I need replacement mixer. After some research it seems my options are extremely limited: Xone 42 or pioneer djm 700 for some more cash. Empath is out of my price range, and Ecler mixers I can't get hold of in my country, so forget about them. If nobody has any other advice next to xone 42 and djm 700, I just need to know how is build quality of xone 42, considering it's made in china as of late. If they are known for having problems as well, I might go with djm 700. Ofc most important for me now is Build Quality, so recommend me one of these just based on that. Appreciate your help. | |

Osvaldo Newhall 18.10.2012 | Ecler Nuo 3.0/4.0 is what you're looking for. Good build quality, great EQ layout with nice-feel knobs, fantastic sound quality, good PFL, etc. |
Sherry Nyblom 18.10.2012 | One of the opinions going on at djcommunity
s, about xone 42 and quality issues: http://www.djcommunity s.com/community s/showt...l=1#post160874 |
Leeanna Ayla 17.10.2012 | I would have no issues using a Xone regardless of where it was made. |
Sherry Nyblom 16.10.2012 | Happy to hear this, I might go for xone 42 then. Hopefully won't be the same bad luck as with the Denon DN-X1100. |

Hanna Ridenbaugh 16.10.2012 | Some of the silver ones were made in China, I had a xone 62 silver, made in China. Build quality was superb. I have a xone 22 now, great build equality. |
Evia Nitch 16.10.2012 | Here and on other places on the net there have been noumerous concerns about china construction, but I've never heard a confirmation that it has impacted quality. I'm an engineer spending a lot of my time in China. My guess is that the PCB's allready came from china and they just moved the assembly there. I doubt that the SOURCE of the components really changed. I believe it's just chinese hands bolting it together. Do you suspect your macbook to be rubbish? Made in china! |
