How many Traktor Kontrol X1s and F1s?
Posted on: 29.10.2012 by Dustin Rajesh
I am buying a new DJ setup and got a Xone:62 and an Audio 10. I will be going controllers only and would be interested in what the preferred combination of X1s and F1s is. What setup would you say makes the most sense for you?

With only two FX banks active controlling FX and transport for decks A/B is easy with one X1.
One F1 is pretty intuitive to use with two remix decks.
One K2 would be great for transport and all four FX banks.

It all depends on how much you use what and we don't know the answer to that.
Thanks. I am going with two X1 and one F1. I am interrested in what the community prefers.

1 of each would make sense if you use the remix decks.

2 X1 and a F1 is the perfect combo IMO

I'm a 3 full tracks and remix deck kinda guy

I have one X1 and one F1 alongside my DN-X1700...I have a K2, but honestly don't use it too much since going down to just 2 FX units. I don't use my F1 a lot, but when I do...I wish I had two as I am using both decks C & D as remix decks and find myself switching control back and forth between decks on the F1. Not so bad fur just triggering, but for filters and volume I don't like using soft-takeover.

When I get my Z2 I'm leaning towards the set up being one F1 and one K2, but I have an X1 as well so I'll play around to see what best fits my workflow.

2 x1's alongside my tables and xone 32. One for transport and effects, the other is used for sample decks. I use the native mappings, works great for me.

i would choose only one X1 for deck A/B and one F1 For remixdecks

/edit:
if you dont want to use the remixdecks then you should choose 2 x X1!!! (remixdecks are overrated)
