DJM 700 with Traktor 2.6 pro
Posted on: 20.03.2013 by Ana Butt
Hi there, I want to ask, do I have to use atleast Traktor Audio 2 to connect DJM 700 to work with traktor? I bought Numark DJ Io which is 2 channel output, its ok 2 channels is all I need, but it seems doesn't work at all with DJm 700 o.O So any suggestions how do i connect DJm 700 to traktor? I believe traktor audio 2 supports midi, and numark dj io doesnt.

Have you activated HID control on the CDJs? Do you get any sound coming through any channels at all?

Can you explain to me, how to use mixer in external mode, all I wanna do really use the mixer, and about F1's I'll have it set up later this is no problem, djm 700 is the problem now

Okay, so looking at that, A & B are set up with your Nexus' as controllers, and your C & D outputs are routed through your Numark. What are you using to control them? Your F1's?

As far as I can tell, that should be you, and you can use your mixer as normal in external mode.

What is it you want to achieve here? Is it simply outputting Traktor decks C & D to your DJM?

Phono cables are plugged in into "CD" channel 1 and 2 and then goes to numark dj io and i seem cant get the arrow icon, it stays female O.O

Thank you, now how do i get djm700 working?

Make sure none of the devices you're using are selected as the Main Out device or Communications Device in Windows. That should hopefully turn the Female icon into another Arrow.

Other than that it looks fine? You may need to enable Hardware Buffer or tweak the sample length settings.

Your setup windows should look like this (but with your Numark IO instead of the Audio2DJ)

I did aggregate them all, numark and cdj's whats next?

Well on audio device in traktor i use asio4all, so confusing to get that djm 700 running
Alphonso Deitchman
20.03.2013
Run the program and activate all the sound outputs you want to aggregate.

Edit: Select ASIO4ALL as your Sound Device in Traktor, then click the Settings button to the right.

Downloaded and installed, how do you aggregate cdj's to dj io?
Alphonso Deitchman
20.03.2013
Download Asio4All and use it to aggregate the DJ IO sound card with your CDJ sound cards.
Ana Butt
20.03.2013
Well they connected through USB and linked to deck A and B so i believe its through traktor
Alphonso Deitchman
20.03.2013
Are you using the CDJs through Traktor or are you using them separately?
Ana Butt

Im on windows, and how do I do that? Could you explain fully how to connect djm 700 to traktor, im having problems, been like that for like 3 weeks totally stuck at it

EDIT

Nexus 2000's I believe they aggregate automatically
Alphonso Deitchman

Are you on Mac OS or Windows?

If you're using the CDJs through Traktor you need to aggregate the DJ IO with the CDJs to give you a total of 4 stereo outputs to send to your mixer.

Thanks, but my question still isn't cleared, how do I connect DJM 700 to Traktor 2 pro, because my setup consist of 2 Traktro F1's (1 fx unit, 1 remix deck) two CDJ 2000 nexus and djm 700, thats the problem im stucked at, is djm O.O

There is no benefit to the Traktor Audio 2 over the Numark DJ IO. Both will give you 2 stereo outputs.

Neither of them support MIDI.
