No love for Pioneer DJM-T1
No love for Pioneer DJM-T1 Posted on: 17.06.2012 by Shari Conkling For someone who has two technic 1200 mk2's with shure m447, I'm looking for the right digital mixer for Traktor. What is your opinion on the Pioneer DJM-T1 mixer for traktor. It seems nobody is talking about this mixer. Why is that? Thanks! | |

Marlon Carpinello 22.08.2012 | I bought one, i'll report back. Seems pretty solid so far. |
Erich Vallabhaneni 22.08.2012 | so no love for the T1? |
Marlon Carpinello 08.08.2012 | Not feeling the X600 to be fair. |
Addie Engbrecht 08.08.2012 | Especially considering the x600 isnt scratch certified so you would need to buy an audio interface. (yes I do know the trick for the x600, but that only worked in windows.....not even sure if you can do that anymore anyways) |

It becomes a bit confusing though when you map stuff like EQ's to do other stuff like FX inside traktor, but it does have a few seperate encoders and buttons that sole purpose is to be mapped to software. Still not nearly as simple as having something that was designed and layed out to be used w/ Traktor like the DJM T1. Personally, I like the T1 a lot |

Effects are available through Traktor Nicely integrated with Traktor (I was previously using an analogue mixer and an X1 - this looks much more accessible) If I was to go down the Denon route, i'd have to buy the software and an X1, the advantage being the built in effects (still got effects in Traktor) and the 2 additional channels (which I won't use). Yet I'd lose the integration. I'm from Manchester in the UK and the name "EDM" makes my skin crawl. |

For djs that use DVS i see them getting a DJM800/900 for going the Rane route for that price. Pio over priced it by 1.5x for what it should sell |
Valene Guasp 07.08.2012 | I'd advise checking out the Denon DNX 1600 before buyng |
Marlon Carpinello 07.08.2012 | Is this mixer that bad? I'm literally about to get one... |
Addie Engbrecht 18.06.2012 | I dont own one, but I always have thought it was a pretty cool mixer |
