Technics with integrated dicer mod
Posted on: 21.01.2013 by Tomiko Schellenberger
I want to modify my stanton st150s to integrate dicers within them much like people do with the Technics. I've done some research but I can't seem to find any guides on how this is done. I'm fairly handy so its not a huge deal for me to work it out myself but if anyone has any images of the build process of doing this I would really appreciate it if you shared, Cheers!

My idea is to lose the 2nd play button, cut out a nice chunk of the metal around where the play button used to sit and weld in a thinner piece of metal with cutouts for the dicer buttons to fit through, so essentially the dicer is recessed into the bottom side of the top plate and you do not loose any button height.

I will take lots of photos to show the process, but unfortunately its going to have to wait a month or 2 as I have way too much on right now to get into it right away.

All Super OEM's have dual play/stop buttons? I didn't know that...

Well with super OEMs you kinda need a mod to use dicers at all, that damned play button is in the way so you can't stick it on at all :P

This should be a mod that I like - but it isn't. I like the little bit of "damping" that you get when fixing your dicers to your decks with the "DJ Putty", and I don't like the idea of losing any height on the buttons due to the thickness of the TT case.

Goo dluck to you though, mate. Hope it all works out well for ya!

Very useful, thank you! I managed to find what I was looking for on the web. Due to the thick solid steel plate on the Stanton it is going to be a little more painful than on the techs, but I believe I might still give it a go.
