DJM800 EQ-Knobs on a DDJ-T1?
Posted on: 14.03.2013 by Trula Willadsen
I'm guessing the question is pretty clear. I would love those rubber knobs on my DDJ-T1, but sadly I can't find any info on whether or not this would fit. I've posted it on the PioneerDJ community , but that community is barely alive anymore...

Does it fit and where can I buy the knobs for shipment to The Netherlands?

Nope, only the 900 Nexus. The one before it was the 800.

There is no 'old' DJM900 as with for example the DJM2000 and DJM2000NXS?

There is no such thing as a non-Nexus DJM900.

He probably didn't bother believeing about the positioning of the knob and just checked the hole shape.

Do you have the DJM900 or DJM900NXS? The shop told me the 900NXS fitted. I thought there might be a difference between the two? Sadly they are to far away to just go there to try it out.

And so the plot thickens...

I'm pretty sure the DJM900 knobs won't suit the DDJ-T1, based on the pictures of your cap and mine there's a 90 degree difference.
Unless you're not bothered about the center line being in the wrong place?

By the way, for those who want to know; the knobs of a DJM-T1 and DJM900 Nexus seem to fit the controller, but are a bit short. Carepolice, I'm going for 'em!

A big store tried it out for me, waiting on an offer for the knobs currently.

dang this thread bums me out i was trying to get a t-1 and then they raised the price and now im believeing i might aswell get the z2 since most say its a bit more intergrated with traktor. I feel pioneer tried to put there own touch into traktor with the t-1 but they really cut corners on the quality.. end rant

Hmm, ok so my last hope really is the DJM-T1..
Why couldn't Pioneer give this one a better feel?

DDJ SX is compatible with Chroma Caps so they won't fit your DDJ-T1

Anyone with either a DJM-T1 or DDJ-SX who could take of an EQ-knob and send me some pictures? Would be greatly appreciated!

I believe the DJM-T1 uses different knobs to the DJM-900 as the part numbers are not the same. Not sure what orientation they are though.

That blows Are the ones from your DJM900 the same as the ones on the DJM-T1? Anyone who might know this? Thank you so much for your help thus far by the way!

According to this the DDJ-SX has the rubber knobs as well, anyone with any info whether those will fit?

The shafts on my DJM900 have a 90 degree difference to your T1, and I believe the DJM800 shares the same knobs with 900. I've checked the Pioneer parts website and the replacement knobs for the 800 and 900 are identical.

So although the knob may fit, the white center line will be in the wrong place. I'm not sure where you can get rubberized knobs that will fit correctly as the Chroma Caps from DJTT are the opposite way round to yours - same goes for my DJM 250.

Scary, but you were right! I thought they were locked in, meaning you had to break some sort or seal which would make the knob unusable afterwards.

Anyways, here are the pictures:

I hope this is detailed enough and allows you to answer my question; are the knobs interchangeable?

Edit: Just found out the DJM-T1 has the same rubber knobs as the DJM800, maybe that makes it easier for a solution?

They don't break that easily. Just pull upwards smoothly and it should slide right off.

I have no idea really, I don't have the guts to take of a knob of since I don't have replacements...

What do the shafts underneath the T1's knobs look like when in the center position?
