When does the Traktor Z4 come out? I want to upgrade my setup but I want the z4 but I don't know when it comes out. Does anyone know? |
Alphonso Deitchman 12.04.2013 | Windows laptops are sold at minimal price margins, which is something NI cannot afford to do for something that is sold to the top 5%.

I'd say 1k. IT IS DOABLE. i mean, a full fledged quad core laptop with a giant display, moving parts, a big battery, and a whole load of other components can be bought for 1k. Also, 999 seems like the magic price for controllers right now.. |

Sounds word-for-word like the CDJ Nexuses. I can't see NI of all companies ousting Pioneer from the industry standard position. |

Alphonso Deitchman 11.04.2013 | An SL4 would make more sense than a Traktor A 10 since Traktor controllerists can use it too. And the extra USB port is there for those bringing their library on a laptop. |

Gaynell Rydberg 12.04.2013 | I really don't understand how these rumors perpetuate htemselves >.>
Not even an announcement and everyone believes the Z4 is getting made. |
Emelina Chillson 11.04.2013 | Bottom line is, NI is not prepared to go toe to toe with pioneer. They would instead prefer to work alongside pioneer ensuring that NI products are compatible with the industry standard. This makes more sense from a sales point of view. The z4 may be a dream for all of us but its just not a feasable reality. The price would have to be set too high to compensate for the low volume of units which would sell. Maybe in a couple years when NI is a household name. |
Alphonso Deitchman 11.04.2013 | I wouldn't expect a standalone NI player anytime soon. What would be the market for it?
Too low quality for booth gear, and you may as well bring a laptop with Traktor if you're bringing gear at all. |

When I get my grubby mitts on one, I'll be cracking it open to install an Audio 4 inside, along with replacing two of the dipole switches with tripoles for Timecode support, just for shits and giggles |
