Audio Technica ATH-PRO500MK2
Audio Technica ATH-PRO500MK2 Posted on: 07.04.2013 by Latoria Kavulich Hi folks,Well my trusty old HD-205's have finally died after 3 years of abusive treatment (POTS - Psytrance Over Thrashing Syndrome) ...So i am looking into picking up a pair of these this week. Does anyone use or have tried these? Good reviews all round but am looking for some opinions from djtt ninjas before shelling out the skrilla. Cheers, J | |

Latoria Kavulich 15.04.2013 | sitting at my bedroom door when i got home .... my first impressions ... wow, just wow |
Latoria Kavulich 11.04.2013 | had both the black & red on my auction watchlist, the black expired before my pay cleared so i had no choice |
Kristofer Krauel 10.04.2013 | Would be interested to hear about the build quality. They look like they could survive a nuclear blast! Look nice in red as well! |
Latoria Kavulich 10.04.2013 | pulled the trigger and ordered these bad-boys . $220 NZD delivered. the larger 53mm drivers, detachable coiled cable and sound isolation swung it this way. will let yall know what i believe after thrashing them |
Kristofer Krauel 09.04.2013 | Ouch!! |
Latoria Kavulich 09.04.2013 | the cheapest we can get hd-25's for here is around $400nzd. all our mates use 'em and we also have the hd-215's. don't wanna go much over 200 budget really |
Kristofer Krauel 09.04.2013 | What's made you choose these over say the HD25s? I'm sure the Sennys are AU$168 which is NZ$200... I believe? All of the reviews online for the Audio Technica's are pretty good. I've not used them myself but what gear I have used of theirs has been faultless, so I would expect these to be the same. |
Latoria Kavulich 08.04.2013 | $200 NZD .. around 130 euros, same as the Xones. |
Kristofer Krauel 08.04.2013 | What price can you get the Audio Technica's for? |

Ella Rick 09.04.2013 | Oh I have the pro 700's not the 500's I'm sure the 500's will be jus as good tho |
Ella Rick 08.04.2013 | I've had a set for seven years now still going strong. Loudest set of cans I have owned, they make your ears bleed, awesome for djing in loud clubs Not the most comfiest cans, a bit on the heavyside but as I said loud as f**k If your wanting to use the cans for production, I would go for something else. I got the camo edition, which is sold out... I believe |
Random X 08.04.2013 | I really believe these would be awesome as well! |
Latoria Kavulich 08.04.2013 | Am also considering the A&H XD-40's at the same price point. |
Latoria Kavulich 08.04.2013 | are they gold plated and come with a complimentary escort? they should for that price |
Random X 08.04.2013 | Just fed you my opinions on fb. Though my HDJ2000s still serve me well and I won't have to bother to look for replacements, I am curious about the Beyer Dynamic DT1350. |
Gaynell Rydberg 07.04.2013 | I thought you were AWOL lol. I've never heard of a pro version, doesn't seem to be available in the US. |
