I need a new mixer...
Posted on: 10.11.2013 by Stanley Topoleski
Ok so its time for me to get a new mixer. I use traktor and a launchpad to control the basics of traktor.

Here are some specs i am looking at.

1. I am looking for a gig worthy so I won't have to lug around all my gear from the studio every week.
2. a 2 channel mixer would work but a 4 channel is ideal.
3. no real budget in mind yet, but I do not want an expensive mixer.
4. something light

so far the djm 250 and the A&H xone22 are at the top of my list, aswell as a used ddm4000, Any suggestions are greatly appreciated

I was stating for a portable set up, no need to bring additional soundcard.
in that case, go for what you feel is right and try before you buy.

just a laptop and z1 and launchpad is okay.

I agree with makar on this one, tbh the ddm4000 has not aged well, fine for home use but i wouldn't use one live. Z1 might suit you fine, or depending on your budget, i could not recommend an x1600 high enough, despite some personal bias

your ideal is a 4channel mixer so go for the ddm4000.
