Cdj 850 with Traktor/midi pitch problem
Posted on: 13.11.2013 by Doyle Reifer
Hi!
I'm using the midi file of pioneer with my cdj 850 and the pitch fader of the cdj's is not the same in the software.
Anyone got this problem?

Thanks

well, it will be okay like this, its much better, not at 100% but it will be okay like that.
Sometime its just a 0.02. But now i can play around the 0, It will be fine!
Thanks a lot!

All the options available to you are there in the mapping entry. If you can't fix it there, nothing else will help.

yeah i mix all the time at 6%
its just really strange because its not the same things on the cdjs and in traktor.

do you believe it can be better with another .tsi?

You can't see BPM on the CDJ 850 with Traktor so I don't believe it's such a big issue. Do you ever use the pitch offset % for anything?

its a bit better, but not the exact things

Scroll to the mapping entry for Tempo Adjust. Set Interaction Mode to Relative.

The fader mapping for Tempo Adjust can be set to Direct or Relative from within Controller Manager

relative mode.. ? its not only with the timecode?

Have you tried using Relative mode for the tempo fader mapping rather than Direct?

The setting in traktor is 6% and i put the cdj at 6% too.
The problem is between 0.00 and 1.00 on the cdj, in traktor the pitch range still at zero.
At 2.40 for example on thr cdj, in traktor it will be around 2.00 and at 6.00 on the cdj it will be the same in traktor.

Set whatever pitch range you want in Traktor settings. The CDJ will always send the standard 0-127 MIDI messages from the fader to Traktor.
