OT...... Anyone use electronic cigarettes? Posted on: 05.05.2011 by Charline Dye Need to stop smoking in my house as of recently, which has seriously hampered my Controllerism practice, etc. I believe us smokers like the nicotine while being creative, and having to stop, go outside, etc is a pain, and breaks up the flow. This has led me to try electronic cigs. I have one ordered and on the way after much research, and I am actually excited to try this out. I have read a lot of posts from ex smokers who say they didn't plan on quitting real cigs, but ended up quitting after getting an e-cig. Anyone here use them? And if so, what is your take on these things? | |

Irwin Ney 16.07.2011 | I was just kiddin, I will never smoke anything. I did not smoke a single time |
Charline Dye 14.07.2011 | If you are not a smoker, do not start! Even an ecig! You will be starting an addiction to nicotine. You can get 0 nicotine juices, but that is usually for people who are trying to quit all together. This is a better alternative for people who already smoke, but please do not believe it is good for you in anyway! |

Charline Dye 07.05.2011 | Josh, the starter kits for a decent one are around $50. The ejuice comes in different sizes, a sampler size 5ml is $3-5 a 30ml bottle is $20. Jester, you cannot smoke anything like pot in it, but I have heard there is a THC e-juice sold in the medical marijuana dispenseries called Vapor Rush. |

1) the more your ecig looks like a cigarette, the less satisfying its going to be. its just a fact of technology. you cant get a battery worth a damn that is that small. you also wont be able to put that much juice in a cart that small.
2) dont buy blu 3) chinese dekang juice tastes like butthole (dont ask how i know this, its a secret) 4) pink spot vapors, eliquidplanet and e-liquidemporium have the best juice known to man. Their VG (actually any VG!) does taste like complete crap but their PG Menthol and Marlboro are damn smooth. If your gonna get an ecig get one with the monster battery, Ego / screwdriver whatever, there's NOTHING gonna turn you off using one quicker like a battery that doesn't last and you'll be back on the Analogues in no time. |

Jacque Divinity 06.05.2011 | just out of interest, what does one of those setups cost and also what does the vapour juice go for? there's no retailer in australia that i know of at the moment, and importing is a bit of a grey area at the moment with talk on some community s here of them banning importation in the future. |
Latoria Kavulich 06.05.2011 | good for weed i bet |
Lilliana Perris 06.05.2011 | Shittt..... Now I want one! |
Tatum Ansaldo 06.05.2011 | I've thought about getting one for a while, particularly for use while DJing (don't want to get ash on my gear and you can't smoke in bars in spain any more!). xtianw puts forward a strong argument. I just worry that if I started on that, that isn't bad for you, I'd start doing it all the time and get even more addicted to nicotine! I suppose self control is the answer What exactly do you do, just toke on it for 5 mins when you feel like a cigarette? |
Charline Dye 06.05.2011 | Wow, thanks for all the info! I didn't get the PCC with my kit as I am not planning on using the PV constantly. I have read alot of posts similar to yours about the cig size pvs. I have also read a few others that are happy with the newer models, except for battery life as always with smaller units. Since it's on the way I'll start with it and see how it goes. I'm sure your advice on this subject is well researched and tested by your experiences, and is greatly appreciated! If I like it enough, I'll invest in a better set up as per your suggestions. BTW that provari is bad ass! |

DONT GET THE EGO-T. it sucks. was a great idea, but cartomizers perform much better, perform consistently (the ego-t is erratic as hell, one vape is awesome, the next tastes like butthole and has no vapor for no reason, then its great again, then bad. every puff is a diceroll). get some low resistance 510 attys, a couple drip tips, and buy some really good juice. me i like fruit, dessert, drink flavors most. but if you are looking for something that tastes just like a cig, get this... http://www.pinkspotvapors.com/PSV-HOTO-p/psv-hoto.htm that juice tastes so much like a cigarette that i hated it. i felt guilty afterward, it even gives your breath that smokers taste. good luck. - me |
Candace Carmouche 06.05.2011 | ive been vaping for almost 2 years. i love vaping more than i ever did smoking. you couldnt give me a lifetime supply of cigs now. id just throw them away. a few general rules. 1) the more your ecig looks like a cigarette, the less satisfying its going to be. its just a fact of technology. you cant get a battery worth a damn that is that small. you also wont be able to put that much juice in a cart that small. 2) dont buy blu 3) chinese dekang juice tastes like butthole (dont ask how i know this, its a secret) 4) pink spot vapors, eliquidplanet and e-liquidemporium have the best juice known to man. this is what im vaping now...... this is what ill be vaping with in less than a month. best vaping experience ive ever had the pleasure of using (with variable wattage being a close second, but only because the technology isnt quite there yet). http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XOIkTSU6yxo |
Charline Dye 05.05.2011 | Thanks for the replys! I did get to try a couple of puffs at a local store and was impressed enough to look into e cigs. The flavor was menthol though which I don't like, but it was very close to smoking. I decided on the Bloog MaxxFusion because it has rave reviews, and is very close in size to a real cig. I'm trying to make the transition as smooth as possible. Lol. |
Jacque Divinity 05.05.2011 | speak with xtianw he's a big fan of them |

Tania Somppi 05.05.2011 | I've got a few for when I'm out. I tend to mix n match 901, 510 and Tornado parts, for best results. Not tried the new wick or reservoir attys yet, I'm gonna pick some up next time I need some spares tho as that's the weak link imo topping them up all the time. Red Bull and Ruyan4 are my fav flavours. |

Stefania Robusto 05.05.2011 | I ordered one just so I could quit and it just didn't do it. The warmth just isn't there. The smoke is also very thin, but the taste is there. IDK, it works for some and not for others. Unfortunately I'm the latter. I ended up giving it away. |
