Nice nice, that club definite seems like a more classy venue. Beta in waterloo still doesn't have a liquor license after more than a year of being open (5$ bottles of water helps them stay in business though :/), though I must admit I've had a good time almost every show I've been to there. I wish there would be places with dubstep evening s that cater to the deep and chilled out dubstep, not brostep.

Give me a heads up the next time you'll be about and I'll let you know if there are any good shows going on. It's mostly geared towards us university students though, which the way I've been feeling about things for the last 6 months makes me say "I'm too old for this shit" half the time lol.

As for "It's actually noted that people from areas like that excel better in big cities." I am from the UK so I'm impervious to the rust belt's worse horrors.
Ah hah, well then that's probably a good thing. How'd you end up in CLE? It's amazing how many people I've met that get "stuck" in Ohio, hope that's not the case.

I watched Designer Drugs play in Cleveland, it was a bummer to see the place 1/3 filled.

I'm looking to start a rescue fund for talented people stuck in the rust belt, ah what a lovely thing that would be. It's actually noted that people from areas like that excel better in big cities.

Stay strong my man!

As a former Ohio resident, let me tell you why so much cheap DJ gear can be found there.

IT'S THE MOST DEFEATING ENVIRONMENT FOR ELECTRONIC MUSIC YOU CAN POSSIBLY FIND.

I've had evening s where I was offered $40 to play an AC/DC track, most Midwesterners are set in what they already know, and new music is rejected. Also, the Columbus dance scene is now flooded with DJs who only play bangers and dubstep, it's pretty dismal.

And that's why I moved to Denver and got involved with Beta Nightclub, fuck Ohio.

I accidentally searched technics in columbus after looking at that and found this pair of M3Ds for $600.

http://columbus.craigslist.org/ele/2732740401.html

I bet you could buy them for $450

Then throw a drop in LED kit (super easy to install, no soldering) http://www.technologytransplant.com/...roducts_id=186 and then some cheap new wires.

And then pairs like that sell for $1000+ on ebay for a couple hours of work. Easy money.
