Peace Out DJTT
Posted on: 23.12.2011 by Alexandra Nerby
Been a member on here for several years and learned a ton from all of you.

I've been out of the university since 2010 with a dual degree in Business Management and several foreign languages since I was brought up overseas.
I've been working for numerous legal firms and accounting firms and even a UK giant corporation.

After about 1.5 years, I decided this is not really what I want to do for the rest of my life. I decided to head back to the university and finish the Engineering degree I have always wanted. I start back up here in 2 weeks and should take me about 2 to 3 years to finish.

Won't be bringing my CDJs, mixer or any controller to the Uni, but may stop in from time to time and continue to offer advice and read up up the new toys that come out Until then, my head will be back in the books as my life takes a different route.

Peace out friends

Yeah I totally agree with you. Just because he wants to prioritize doesn't mean he doesn't like music. School costs a lot of $$, and therefore requires lots of necessary focus. Plus dude, people have lives outside djing and this website. We should respect that.

Peace dude. I didn't know you, but I am going back too school as well! I will be mixing while i go to school, but i know its gonna be a hell of a job! Good luck with that engineering degree bro.

Ah, I see where the confusion was. I did not mean that after 1.5 years of mixing, I meant 1.5 years in finance and accounting. No intention of quitting mixing, just don't really have the room at school. But yeah, guess the X1 is something I could throw in my bag...didn't really believe of that.
Hope that clears things up...

For the rest of your comments, I understand you would like to see people dedicate their lives to music as much as you do, unfortunately not everyone can comply to that.
That still does not give you, or me in that fact, the right to be as harsh as some of your posts are in this thread.

we also want people to just be a little bit more forgiving. No need for that comment. Dudes gotta get his head in the books.

Ive been involved in bands and DJing since i was 12 and i pretty much gave the whole lot up to do my Philosophy Degree cus i knew that the slightest distraction would f*ck me up. I have no will power. Its all or nothing.

For all we know he may come back more hungry and gagging to make music after his studies.

Good luck man, hope to hear from you again.

Hey Gryz. Whatever you decide to do in life, I hope it gives you a sense of fulfillment and joy. Anything else would be a waste of time.

Why not bring some gear?

At least bring the X1 and midifighter, you don't really need anything else if you just want to mess around and practice and it might keep you sane.
