Ok so Im a gabba baby since the 90s and started collection vinyl from Rotterdam, Germany & UK. I started buying the cd collections when the came out and ripped a lot to itunes and still dig for mp3's.

I xfer all my tunes to my iphoneand every now and then....a HAPPY hardcore track comes on and I nearly want to slam my iPhone and crush it. Is this normal?

Yeah, Kicking Noise Of Rotterdam was awesome in that period, still remember the numerous times I would draw that logo.

But that's the start(1st track) of happy hardcore and not gabber.
That's why I listed it seperately.

Terrtraxx colour vinyl's triple win right there.
Yeah, DJ Attic & DJ Stylzz "In My Mind" still blows my mind after all these years.

For me this is the style of music that killed hardcore the beats are just too weak and euro poppy/radio friendly sounding need a little meat.

Sarasin no offense I forgot that tune after it finished, there wasn't any hook to get me to listen again.

One of my most treasured vinyls unfortunately has a crack it it

I don't mind old-school Hardstyle, but the anthemlike "nu-style" (which is the only thing played at parties around here) is just awful. Same thing seems to be happening to Hardcore, I much prefer the older-school sounding stuff (like, early Thunderdome and what have you).

I always believe that its such a shame folks aren't more into this kind of music, from 93 till 96 was some of the best music made from all corners of the globe and a lot of it is undiscovered and probably will remain that way...:roll eyes:

Two of the best tracks every committed to vinyl: Holland and America

Rob Gee

But it's been making a HUGE comeback at all of the New England shows. UK Hardcore, there's a monthly hardcore evening ... and it's just everywhere. And I fucking LOVE it. Hardstyle brings it up, then deep into the hardcore, drop something nostalgic, then bringing it back.

I can't get enough. I've been trying to find more and more out about it, because of this. I've been listening to fear.fm non-stop lately getting ideas.

It's bad lol.

Another thing that I love about the real hardcore scene, is that it's true that people who really love the music are the ones who love it. It doesn't have the "riders" that other genre's can bring in. People who love hardcore, LOVE hardcore.

And while I tend more toward the grimier business, my wife is a huge fan of Happy Hardcore. It's better than trance, which is the other thing she's into. So I roll with it.

check out mid-town record in NL. they were the main distributors of HC from NL. they have alot of the back catlog stuff,.

My mate who is a successful Psy producer also makes some gabber. Pretty damn good!

Happy Hardcore....should never have been on your phone in the first place.
