Part of me wants to smack you for that. Part of me wants to buy you a beer.

If we ever meet IRL, I'm doing both…k?

The emulator looks pretty cool in person, especially when its on the 42" glass but its more for show. I heard about it about a year ago and then I saw it last year at the DJ expo in Atlantic City and Alan Smithson, the guy who owns the company was DJing with it. It would definitely take a lot of getting used to as you have to change certain areas of the screen to bring up the filters and effects and there is a lot you can't do at the same time or you have to be really fast with the screen switching but I can see it at lounges and pvt parties but it would never be practical in a club.

yeah I'm serious... touch will never be as good as tactile in term of control... the other big negative is you always have to look at the screen to use it as you can't feel around the surface to know where you are... it's also douchey enough to be in a britney spears video clip

I believe the concept is great, but i doubt i would ever purchase anything other than an ipad if i wanted a touchscreen controller. After using the Lemur (and falling in love with SOME things about it) there is a lot of things that I don't like about touch screens.. A mis touch can bring your set to entire hault, any kind of knob functions are not realistic, plus i sweat and , but i do enjoy the ability to customize what i want, XY functions also... With that being said I believe touchscreen controlers/apps will be popping up everwhere, but to fully replace physical controls (faders, knobs, buttons, platters, ect.) i just dont believe it will happen. I believe iPads will be the closest thing to a "club standard" touchscreen controller that we will see in the near future.
