Is it wrong? Posted on: 05.08.2012 by Reginia Tamayose .....to pick a DJ name that someone out there already has but isnt like a big deal? I am trying to pick a good name, so when i believe of something good, i usually google the shit out of it first to see if there is someone more important than myself is using it already. | |

| Brinda Tidrick 17.08.2012 | Wouldn't be major issue. There are only so many words (granted, billions upon billions of combinations) - there are bound to be a few clashes down the line. Search for 'Indigo' in the realms of music. Loads of them. |
| Makkins Clifton 14.08.2012 | What everyone else said plus the great thing is you can create as many names for yourself whenever you want. I ran into trouble going by the name of Kid Alex in 2000. Two other guys going by the same name became really famous two years later (one of them is Boys Noize today). Although I wouldn't have had trouble going with that name 6 years later I booked one of the Boys Noize Records artists. If I had still used that name there would've probably been great trouble at or before that party. So when one of the other guys becomes well known you should look for something else. |

I was believeing of maybe just using the nickname i have had pretty much forever, DJ Ringo....for some reason though, when i imagine it on a poster or flyer, it just looks weird to me. The name i was believeing of, which sparked this topic, was DJ Eclipse....what do you believe? |
